For on-line buying I use gunbroker.com, gunsamerica.com or rrarms.com. These are all good sites and give you a good base line of prices, just remember when buying on-line you have to figure in shipping and the transfer fee from your FFl dealer once they ship it. Usually you are better off using a local dealer unless it is a really good deal.

Oh, and stick to the .243

The 243 Win. is definitely a lot more versatile (adequate for deer or varmints).

The 220 Swift is ideally a varmint only proposition (coyote or chucks).

Of the two, I strongly suggest you get a good the 243 Win.

I would personally go with the 243win. In my area 243win is easier to come by.The 6mm cal. willdo better in the wind. Plus can be used for varmints, deer or antelope.

I doubt if you will find too many people advocating the Swift. Althogh I'm sure some have killed deer with them, they are primarily a varmint gun. The ,243 is a much better all-around choice. Can be used for deer and varmints both.

.243 beats virtually everything even as a dedicated varmint round.

243 can shoot just as flat as any of the other 20s and retains more energy at range, with a larger bullet and better bullet selection.

It's no big secret I'm just comparing them in ballistics catalogs.
