Default Turkey Gun Work

I have seen advertised shops that will legthen and polish
forcing cones and match the "perfect" choke for your turkey gun.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction and/or supply some feedback ?

Thanks, Mark.

..hope i help a little, they do the work, and yes it will
increase tightness of pattern, make the gun easy to clean
when you get the gun back,it should look like a mirror
inside the barrel, the work he does will remove very little
metal...i do my own,a drill,fine steal wool,polish cream,
atached to a dail rod,and polish away inside the barrel
and choke, until it is like glass,...

go to this link and do some reading through the pages....

http://www.nitrocompany.com

On there you can find a good bit of information on finding your perfect turkey gun. You can also send them your gun and they will run their custom loads through it and try differn't makes of turkey chokes to find the perfect combo. If you would like to see a picture of what their loads and choke tubes will do, click here....

I shoot a 3.5" Browning BPS and can tell you that the Nitro Company loads are awesome. I use the 2&5/8 ounce economy hevi shot load matched with a Rhino .660 ported choke. This load performs equally well on turkeys.

The answer to your ? is simple, Mark Bansner, he pioneered the turkey choke industry 20 years ago. He builds a choke that will pattern 90%+ at 40 yds with fed. 2oz. 4/6's. Do a search for Bansner or the ultimate rifle and you'll find his page. But better hurry, he does his shotgun work in jan/feb

I think Briley (choke tubes) does that. Maybe Proport. There is also a place called Wright's Gun Shop that does a lot of work on trap guns. You have to look them up on the net. If you find Wright's, ask them if they are the same ones who have a shop at the Grand in Vandalia, Ohio. Lengthening the forcing cone will improve the pattern. It's about $55.
