Default 1.3 Inch Group!! Bushy Varminter

I just shot a 1.3" 3-shot group at 100 yards with the new Varminter!! I was shooting cheap old FMJ's. I know some of you are thinking that thats not that good of group, but I also had a Bushnell 2x scope on it that is about 50 years old. I can't wait to get a good scope!!!!!!

If this is with a new un-shot upper thats not bad, if it is new, you need to break it in, after every shot clean the barrel for the first ten rounds, then every ten rounds for fifty rounds, once the barrel is broke in even with the cheap stuff you can still shoot one inch or better groups. I have a DPMS 20" varmint upper on one of my lowers that shoots sub-moa, three shots in a quarter inch at 100yds, a freind was there when I got done braking it in and started with my reloads, he was so impressed he had me order him one in, he always said that he would never have a use for an A/R-15, that sure changed his mind.

It already had about 40 rounds down the tube when I bought it. So I don't think it will help to clean after every round. I was just excited since I was using an old 2x scope. I know once I get a high power scope I will get at least 3 in a 1/2 inch.

I wouldn't complain one bit with that group. Old scopes are a bit cloudy and with only 2x that's even more impressive.
