Default The Bushmaster .450 Rifle

I was looking over the new bushmaster The Bushmaster .450 Rifle. It says itis adapted from a 6.5mm "“ .284 case with necking cut off to accommodate the 250 Grain Hornady SST Flex Tip .450 caliber bulletmoves at 2200 feet. And has exceptional accurracy out to 20 yards

I am wonting a ar 15 and and new hunting rifle. All though i am in indiana i will be traveling around and plan to do some out of state hunting next year . The cost is 1300 but if i figure the cost of a 7.62 and a good hunting rifle , they would cost me more if i bought two rifles. Is the .450 to big for deer might do some elf hunting up west, and beer hunting

What are your thought on this rifle

if i am mistaken which happens. the 458 socom a pistol round and the 450 a high power rifle round. what i am wonting is two things i wont to get a ar15 in a high power rifle cal bigger then the 5.56 or .223 something like a 7.62. Second i wont a hunting rifle that is semi auto that i can use on Deer outside indiana bear and elf as i will be travling around and be able to due some out of state hunting. What i need to know is the bushmaster .450 rifle good for hunting all three or is the 458 socom a high power rifle round

the 458 socom is a rifle round developed by Marty Ter weems of teppo jutsu (translation is "Art of Rifle") It sends a .458" 300 gr hp downrange from a 16" barrel at about 2100 fps.
The parent case is a 50 AEmagnum stretched from 1.3 to 1.7 inches, necking to 45 reduces case length to 1.585. the rim is rebated to standard 308 size.
Now here's a pic of my 458 oh and another
Now the bushy fires a .452 dia. bullet, so unless you buy those hornady muzzleloader slugs, your left with pistol bullets if ya wanna reload. the 458 uses standard .458 rifle bullets from 300 to500 gr.

450 Bushmaster250gr bullet at 2200fps is similar to a muzzleloader shooting a 50/452 sabot w/ Hornady SST or T/C Shockwave with a mag 150gr charge of powder. Itwon't have a problem killing deer, and certainly could kill black bear and elk at reasonable ranges.
