I have an H&R Handi Rifle in .223. I bought this when I was twelve from my birthday money; it's my first rifle. Very accurate, though a little on the heavy side. It rusts easily, so take care of it. Also, whenever I open the action on mine, sometimes the case wont eject. Don't try to pick it out with a knife, carry a gun rod with you to push it out. Out of 10, I'd give it a 4...

I bought a 223 Heavy Barrel Handi Rifle and put a Mueller APV scope on it. I bought it because I wanted an inexpensive single shot to play with.

After doing a lot of reading on Graybeard's site and doing a little tinkering with the gun, I have about a 3 lb trigger and it shoots 5 round groups into less than 1 1/4". I have heard very good reports on the 30/30 and 7mm 08 Handi Rifles.

Check out Graybeards. Read the FAQs. There is a TON of info there.

I have one in 7mm-08 it shootsquite well and I have had no problems with it. I also had one in 30-30, it worked equally well.

I have the Handy Rifle in .223. Bought it for coyote hunting but it has a bull barrel and is quit heavy for a walking gun. Shoots really well from the bench and from sticks.
