Default RE: AR15 Sight In?

I am new to Mil-Dot's. This is my first year to use them. I have a Zeiss Conquest 6.5X20 with the mil-dot on a6.5X284 Encore. I sighted mine dead on at 200 yards. I find no need to make adjustments to a scope until Iam shooting at 250 yards or farther. So far my farthest shots have been to 450 yards, and it has worked quite well. I find it especially useful for slight windage adjustments, it gives a real reference for hold. Like anything else it just takes practice and experience. It may take 300 or 400 rounds before I have the hang of it out to 500 yards, but then isn't that the funpart!!! Tom.
