Default Ported Slug Barrel Worth It?

I see there are now ported slug barrels available (I have a Rem 870). Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they worth the extra cost? Seems like porting would reduce muzzle jump which could result in better accuracy. What do you think?

Thanks, Rob
