You can't go wrong with a Cooper. Just about as good as they come.

for a 200yd shot i dont think you NEED a cooper...they are supposed to be pretty dang high quality rifles...any higher and you gotta go custom...price shows that lol

but if you want one...id say check em out and see if you like them...

can get alot of rifles in 204..if thats the caliber you want...

all depends on your needs and what you wanna spend...dont forget quality glass to go ontop of the rifle....when putting together a long range critter gitter it can get a bit expensive...i got about 1200$ in a remington SPS varmint...but ive shot .70" groups at 100yds with it with cheap, factory ammo and a bore that isnt broke in yet....i cant complain....love my sps...

I have several Coopers and can vouch that they are great rifles right out of the box. They have great triggers which are user friendly(mine break right at 20 oz), the action is bedded, the barrel is floated and they actually test fire the rifle with a real person shooting it over bags and guarantee 1/2 moa.Dont think you will be disappointed with one...or two...or

IMO the Cooper is by far the best choice out there. It is the perfect mix of craftsmanship, accuracy, pride of ownership, quality, resale value, and price. Now that was a mouthful. However I do not care too much for the cartridge. Tom.
