Default Gun storage..

Let's say someone wanted to store a gun and ammo away till it was needed in the future. Let's say up to 10 years.

What are some things that should be done to make it useable when broke it out? Would the ammo be allright if they was in a vacum sealed bag and how about the gun? Would it be allright in a vacum sealed bag also?

Default RE: Gun storage..

Not only would I pack them in airtight containers,I would also throw in some silicon bead packs and pack in cosmoline.
