Default Swift scopes any good???

I have been searching for a scope and I found this name brand. Swift they have a lifetime warranty. I am thinking of getting one. Just wanted some feed back on them. http://www.eabco.com/Swift01.htm

Default RE: Swift scopes any good???

I bought one when I bought my Ruger M77 30-06 8-9 years ago and paid about $80.00. The first time I took it to the range I was shooting 1.5" groups at 100 yards - it had to be the scope and gun, because I can't shoot that well. Having had the opportinity to look at some more expensive scopes (Burris, Pentax and Leupold) in the past few months I can notice the Swift is not as clear or as bright. Now I hunt deer here in MI for maybe 2-3 days/year and the Swift is just fine for that. However I just bought an old Ruger M44 and I am putting a Leupold 1.5-5 on it.

Bottom line for me on the Swift: you can spend 10x more for a beautiful clear scope if you are really into optics, but the Swift is fine for my purposes. Maybe some day I will replace it with a Leupold.
