I received an early Christmas gift of a Christense rifle. It is lightly used and the fit and handling are good. Have not taken it to the range but am interested in the barrel. Looks to be something different than typical barrel material. Does anyone have experience with the Christensen rifles? This is in a 280.
I've heard of them!, The carbon rifle people, they're rifles shoot well from all I've saw/heard. The barrel is a thin metal tube inside of carbon, suppoedly twice as stiff as a steel barrel and less weight. They are pretty pricey though!

My gunsmith loves them. I was talking to him building me an ultralight and he is trying to push me in that direction. I was wanting a 700titanium action with a #0 krieger barrel. He thinks it would be more accurate if I had Christensen arms make my barrel.
I've heard nothing but good things about them and if I had a extra $3000 plus laying around I would order one...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
