Dscp,
Well, as for groups. I shot some of the winchester bulk pack varmint loads and they put up sub moa but barely @ 0.912". I tried aload I had for 26" bull bbl gun I had and they only did a bit better than 2moa....if I recall I think it was 1.764" for 5 shots. However it was too slow powder and too light bullet. Then I tried some match ammo 10rds, ALL TEN RDs WERE MEASURED AT 0.446" ....again that was a 10 shot group, off a good bench rest and no magazine...feeding one at a time as the mag got in the way of the bench. What a pain putting the mag in release bolt, feed a rd, pull the mag. fire, repeat x 10...LOL!!!
I live in West By God Virginia. You know the place God built on Saturday so he come here and relax on Sunday!!!
As for price. I am not set. I know the value of these vary greatly according to your geographic location. Now here they are bringing $900 or so, Other areas $1200 or more. I guess I am hoping for somewhere in that range. I know what I have in it....$1250. I have put 42 rds through it. The old fellow that bought it new said he put 17 through it and gave me the rest of the box he had. I pulled one to see how it was loaded. Thus....42 I put through it.
Trades. You bet. Whatcha Got? Not real into handguns but I will look. No Shotguns. Rifles...I will look at any heavy bbl or any mod 70 or older lever gun. Also about any bolt action.
Any more ???'s just ask.
Thanks for looking,
Dave
PS: I am not sure if you know, but this is the company that Bushmaster bought to get the patent for the Carbon fiber gun. They are no longer made, a bit of acollector and yet all bushmaster parts will go right on it. (of course of the parts are
suppose to interchange) It is the lightest one ever made...even with the match bbl it weighs less than 6pds. These new varmint uppers weigh more than this gun does complete w/scope and full mags!!!! I can imagine it would be a dream to carry.
