Default Is it reliable?

I have a7mm 7x57 mauser and its pretty oldlike 70-80yrs old.The condition is about 85% it shoots well, but i was wondering if it would be reliable on a huntfor such an old gun.

Default RE: Is it reliable?

It is one of the best guns made read the post that say thanks for the info about the model 96 mauser in 6.5X55 that I own and how good it shoots. I would have a gunsmith take a look at it to be safe then enjoy it

Most 7mm mausers are good for another 100 years, barring bent barrels and broken parts.

If it is a Mauser,it is in decent condition, and it shoots well, I'll bet it will outlast YOU with reasonable care and no-one drives a truck over it.

The 7X57mm round is a very effective one. Just put the bulletin the right place!
