Sears Bolt Action .410

I have a bolt action .410 single shot that my uncle gave to me nearly 30 years ago. The safety has been broken (and missing) for nearly 28 of those. I recently decided to fix the safety and restore the gun so that I could give it to one of my sons.

I know that Sears guns were made by Savage and Springfield and possibly others. The gun says SEARS, ROEBUCK AND CO. .410 GA - 3" CHAMBER - 103741 on the barrel. It also has a P. stamped into the side of the barrel. Does anyone have any info on this particular gun? Where if any can I find parts? Any info would be much appreciated.

I have searched my "Blue Book of Gun Values"' and cannot find the crossover match for who made your gun from Sears. The closest thing I could find was a Model 103.720, and Model 103.740 which were made for Sears by Marlin as their Model 59. When I went into the Marlin section, I could find no Model 59 listed under bolt action shotguns. Maybe someone else on here can shed additional light.
If you can get the gun positively identified, Numrich Arms Corp. carries extensive parts for many guns. You could do a search on their website for what you need.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help...........

Thanks for the reply wildman.

I believe it may be a Sears model 101.1120, but not sure. If this is the correct model # then it is a Savage/Stevens Model 51 or 951. I have been unable to find any detailed info on either the Sears or Savage/Stevens model #'s. The little info I did get did not have any photos so that I could visually ID it.

Just lookedin the Numrich Arms parts book.On page 469 is a description and illustrated parts breakdown for the Marlin Model 122 in .22 caliber.TheModel 122 is a single shot.Itstates: "also Models 59 and 60G .410 gauge shotguns." It looks like they took a single shot .22 andturned it intoa single shot bolt action shotgun.
