Hi guy's, Just picked up a Firestar in .45 acp.Got it for $200.00.Was wondering if anybody has had any experience with these guns.Got it basicly for carry.Pros, cons, dependability? Thanks in advance .......Swamp

I used to have a Firestar but sold it quickly. I found it to be too heavy. Mechanically it was problen free for me.I had it for about a year or year and a half.
It's a little heavy for it's size, but a .45 should have SOME heft for controllability...
Mine has never malfunctioned, and it's more than accurate enough for what it is designed for...I can tip over beer cans at 20 yards with mine if I do my part...No problem centering a humanoid sized target at that range...

I have owned a couple of Star .380's. Aside from the puny caliber, they were very reliable and accurate little pistols. They shot better at 25 yards than several Lugers and a couple of P-38's......

I used to have 1 of them for carry when bodyguarding and such. Mine proved to be excellent on relability and accuracy. Best option of carry mode is cocked and locked,just as a 1911. They are very underated lil pistols.

Went and shot the Firestar .I believe it is going to be a keeper.At 25 feet it did better than I expected.Good size for ccw.Like the ambi saftey also.Best of all you can never go wrong with the old .45 punkin ball.Thanks for the input.
