Default 22/410

I was hoping someone might be able to help me find one of these. My freind has a Stevens 22/410 O/U that he uses for rabbits behind the dogs and it's about the sweetest setup I can imagine, problem is I'm having trouble locating one for sale. Also what aould be a good price to expect to pay for this gun, 200$? If I can't find one by spring I'll probably look for a 20 gauge side by side and since it will mainly be for brush bustin I won't want anything fancy, any suggestions? Thanks guys, Aaron.

Only place I know that makes them as a domestic maker, would be Savage, and you're not going to get one for $200 no matter where you find one if you're buying new, and good luck getting someone to give theirs up, like you said, it's a SWEET setup.

Check out European American Arms maybe?? They do a lot of rifles/guns that most domestic makers don't anymore, like O/U rifles and such, I'm sure that they'd have something.

Screw the 10 ring, keep them in the zero!!!

Like NOMERCY said not many used ones around. I have a savage .22/20 gauge that I would not give up for anything. They are a sweet little gun.

I do believe that savage still makes something in this line although I doubt you will find it for under 200 dollars.

I have a .222/20 ga. and a 30/30 over 20 ga. both Savage model 24s.

I just looked in a catalogue for Russell Sports (.com) a store in Calgary Alberta. They list the Savage 24F combination gun for $549.99 Canadian dollars. But only in .22 lr, 22 hornet, .223, 30/30 all over 20 ga.

I see old 22/410s once in a while at gun auctions but can't recall what they usually sell for.

Jolly...My hunting buddy has dang near every Savage O/U combo they've made. He has 2 22/410 combos. He has paid under $375 for both. I can't quote the price, but he hasn't paid over $375 for any of his used combo's.

They will shoot, and are a great bunny or squirrel gun.

Good luck!

Thanks NoMercy,

I looked up EAA on the web and found out that they will be introducing a 22/410 O/U sometime in the middle of 2003! Finally! Now if I can't find a used one at a gun show, I'll just get it new sometime this summer. I know it will probably cost more but oh well... you can't take it with you<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>!

I have one,was bought when they first came out,It was depended on to put meat on the table when I was a boy.I am not so sure now of what I paid for it but seems like 59.00,sure have gone up now.I wouldn't sell mine though for twice that much.I haven't seen a used one at the gun shows in many years.
