I hear good things, cheaper version of a Benelli which is made in Italy, the Stoeger is made in Turkey I think

I know where ones for sale at a decent price. I've never shot one, but I know a couple of guys that hunt with them. Never heard them complain. If you want to know where one is for sale for $250, in camo, shoot me a pm.

This year I was invited on my first duck hunt with my new brother n law who is a successful attorney. Since I'm a school teacher, I have 2 fantastic children, and my wife stays homeI don't have the extra $$ to really do guided hunts of any type. So for a Christmas present he said he would pay my way. I showed up at his place the night before to leave and he asked me what gun I had. I pulled out my fathers old Winchester pump 12 ga. He smiled and said he thought I might need an upgrade. He handed me a Stoeger Model 2000 and said "you'll like this merry Christmas." I couldn't believe it not only had he paid my way but gotten me a gun too! So I used it for 3 days straight fresh out of the box on ducks and geese. Not a single hang up. Box after box of shells went through it.I have one speck being mounted right now. After we got back it was time to get ready for turkey season. This was my first real season hunting for ole' long beard. I used the factory turkey choke and patterned the gun easily. This turkey season I killed two birds and one yote. Haven"™t had a single hang up. It's easy to take down, clean, and get back together. Also it has been very dependable, light, and true for me. I called Stoeger to find out what type of sight to put on it and they recommended the Tom Napp sight. It has worked wonders. It makes you keep your head down and in position. I truly think that the Stoeger Model 2000 with the Tom Napp sight is a perfect combo for the average hunter. If I had to go and purchase another shotgun I will not hesitate to get another Stoeger.
As a side note my brother-n-law shoots a Benelli and while we were duck hunting comented that he actually liked my gun better and wanted to go get himself one too. I just don't think it can be beat for the money. Especially what I paid.
