ruger super red hawk 454?

i have a ruger new model super black hawk that is a great deer gun im looking for a 454 and the only gun that i think i would want is a ,S.R> any one have any problums with this gun? is it a good deer/elk gun?

300wby,I'm on my second SRH in 454 Casull.I bought a new one with a 7.5" BBL.There was a problem with the cut outs for mounting the Ruger scope rings.The ring made bad indentations (cuts) in the cut outs on the frame.Ruger agreed there was a problem and scraped my gun. I asked if I could get a 9.5"bbl instead. They sent me the 9.5". It's a nice shooting gun,but is heavy. Shooting the Casull is very pleasent considering the power of that cartridge.It's very manageable but you do have to hang on to it.I think you'll be very happy with the SRH in 454 Casull.I would recommend it.

Does Ruger have any plans on chambering the 454C on the Super Blackhawk frame?That's one I'd buy in a heartbeat.

i dont know about that but i would get one too .that would be sweet!
