Default Gift for a friend?

I am looking for a .22 rifle as a gift for a friend. I would like to get her something pretty accurate right out of the box. She prefers detachable mag semi-autosand will be using a scope. I am looking to spend about $200. She likes my Mossberg 702 but I'd like to get her something different, all her own. Any suggestions?

my personal recommendation is try and find her a ruger 10/22, probably a used one to save some cash. i have a bicentennital edition that's turning 31 this year and it still works perfectly and will place lead where you want it to if you do your part. we have a weatherby 4x scope on mine and it's as old as the rifle but still works fine.

Ruger 10-22 is unquestionably one of the finest choices you could make.
That way, later as she wants,it can be personalized from the tons of aftermarket parts available. She might choose to just enjoy it as is.

I haven't heard a lot about them, but Browning makes a Buck Mark rifle. My brother loves his. It might be out of your price range butI don't know for sure.

Buckmarks are very nice but are somewhat pricey. I went and looked at the 10/22 and a Savage model 64 scoped combo. I've shot a 10/22 and know they are good rifles. I used to have a Savage bolt action .22 and it was quite accurate. I'm still undecided.

Get her a 10/22 and find her a pink stock. I know she will love it. Pink camo would be the ultimate. Tom.
