Cheapest place for Remington 700 ADL

I'm going to be buying a Remington 700 ADL 270 woodstock within the next few days. I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions on where to buy this gun. I know wal mart has it for 430.00, that's the cheapest I have seen so far. Thanks!

I saw them for $389.00 but it was a sale price after $40.00 off so your price sounds about right .

Where did you find it for that price ? Also anyone who owns this gun in the .270 model, have any opinions or comments?

are you buying/looking for a wood stock for a ADL or the whole gun?
i bought my first rifle,( ADL woodstock 30-06sprg ) back in 98' at wal-mart.it cost me roughly $389.00 for the gun. i looked up a ADL 2 years ago and they seem to run the same price wise. i guess depending on where you go you might pay anywhere from $350.00 - $400.00.
here's a good place to buy them. used or they can special order one for you and it is the cheapest place i know to buy guns. cause they have over 3,000 in stock. they do deliver to a FFL dealer

Try Dicks Sporting Goods, a chain if you have one nearby, they are about as cheap as I've seen on firearms

I was in Wal-Mart this past weekend and 700 ADLs were $425. They also has a laminated stock ADL for $425. I know I could do better at a local shop. Our wally world is not know for its "low prices."

I have an ADL in 270. Haven't used it much but I like it. Accurate, decent trigger, easy to tweak if needed. Mine likes 130 grain Federal Premiums in the Sierra boat-tails. My only complaint with it is the recoil. The felt recoil on that rifle is pretty severe. I'll be putting a good pad on it this summer. I also have a 3x9 Nikon Monarch which is way, way too big for hunting in Maine. Adds a lot of weight plus is un-needed when a long shot is 50 yards. That too will be changed.

Justin2345 Welcome to the board,I have a Rem 700ADL w/synthetic stock chambered in 270.I really like the caliber and the rifle shoots well.To me the recoil is very mild in this .270Win synthetic stocked Rem 700.I bought it back in 96 for 339.00 at the once Pro Gun K Mart.The way prices increase 430.00 sounds about right. Wherever you go to buy one,Don't get talked into a Remington 710. Winchester ,Savage,& Ruger make excellent bolt actions........I just named a few but there are many other B/A's available from other companies..........

Thanks for all of your help! I think I'll check a few more locations for prices. One more question...What is your opinion on synthetic stocks versus wood stocks, and .270 vs. 30-06? Thanks again!
