Default 870 Help!!!

Planned on going turkey hunting this afternoon. Just bought a synthetic stock/fore-end and I'm having a hard time with the fore-end. Is the fore-end tube nut reverse threaded? I'm putting a lot of pressure on it, but it won't back out. Really appreciate some advice.

They are jsut really tight. They ususally have a special wrench to take the fore end nut off which makes it alot easier.

Thanks for the replies. I put some penetrating oil on the threads, slapped the original fore-end back on and went hunting anyway. Looked kind of funny with a wood fore-end and camo synthetic stock, but the turkey I shot didn't know the difference. I did end up getting the nut off, but it took a bench vise and a pair of tin snips to do it!

At least you know it wasn't going to fall off on its own.
