Default 710?

i know how many of you feel about the 710 and i feel the same way, i hate the gun but i have never shot one but i have handled one and i was not impressed. I have heard that the gun is very accurate but i would like to hear about its accuracy from someone that has shot one.

it is pretty accurate this year b4 rifle season i took it out put 5 orange dots on a peice of cardboard 100 yds and shot the dot in the middle first try and then right next to it the next and all in the genreal area of it prob an inch apart at the most on the rest of the shots but it does have a loud mag that rattles when ur walking and the bolt is cheap and jams up and doesent slide real easy but other then that its a good cheap gun i think

I have one in 30-06. It was in my price range when i first needed a rifle so i got it for $200 and have beat the crap out of it for years. It shoots consistant 1/2in to 3/4in groups at 100 yards when i do my part. I havnt had any major problems with mine but i dont plan on keeping it much longer. I want to get a Weatherby or Ruger next.

Just went to Remingtons web site and saw that the model 710 has been replaced by a new model. The 770. Is claims to have a better/smoother action a better magazine catch.

ahah thats funny stuff right there.

i cant speak about the accuracy...but ive handled a couple and even cleaned my cousins. you couldnt give me a 710...you could...but id sell cheap and take the money and run id buy used before i bought a new 710.

retaks...thats really impressive to hear you and your 710 can shoot 1/2-3/4 inch groups at 100yds..top of the line rugers and weatherbys might not do that...you better keep that tack driver

I'd buy a used rifle a lot faster than many of the various current models!

Just because a rifle is OLD does not mean it is not better than some of the new ones!

A friend of mine bought one in 300 win mag. I shot it at 100 yards and the whole for the two bullets were touching. The mag and mag catch seem cheap, and the bolt is not very smooth, but good accuracy for the money.
