Default snake/rat shot

Just curious, we camp every 4th of July on a private creek that tends to hold a lot of snakes. I have heard you can buy snake/rat shot. Can you buy this in .44 mag? I went to Midway USA and did find any at all, any help where you might purchase also would be helpful

thank you,

Ive had some and it worked good. I got it from Midway for my .44 Mag. I just realized im paying way to much for something that a 240 grain Jacked Soft Point dose just as well on snakes and also works on larger pests.

YES, CCI sells .44 mag shot. i forget the size. #12 or #9 i forget. but CCI sells shotshells for .44 mag. it is just like a regular shell but the bullet is some kind of plastic and holds shot in it.

mine is #12 shot, CCI. I tried it for giggles on some starlings at about 30 paces. it done its job, patterns wide as hell so a close shot is a must. i pay about 11 bucks a box for i think its 10 rounds. i carry the first2 cylinders full of the shotshells and the next 3 are 240gr flatnose.

I have used the CCI for many years in .38 for snakes and varments. I also used to keep it in the ex-wifes wheel gun for home defense. until you see the power and damage they can do in those shotshells, don't knock them. Load up three shotshells, and two ball ammo behind them. You are set for anything.
