hi. I'm looking for a gun preferabally a 308 that is less than 300. should i buy a new NEF or look for a used gun in the local area?

Im not sure what you really wanttodo. There are plenty of military surplus .308 rifles around but from what i see most hunting rifles in .308 are alittle more pricey. The savage model 11f is an exellent gun it goes for about $400 but from what i know it is well worth the money.
