Default Taurus 1911

Has anyone had any experience with the new 1911 Taurus 45 ACP?

I have handled/inspected several of these but been able to shoot only 1.
We cannot keep them on shelves long enough to even obtain 1 for own personal collection. That says a lot right there. Simply stated,The gun impressed me! After 25+ years in the gun business-it takes a LOT to impress me. If you can find 1,buy it.

Never touched one.

Taurus is pretty new to the 1911 market, but they have been making guns for a lokng time. Lifetime gaurantee, even if you're not the original owner.

I have 2 - one in .45 ACP the other a 9mm. Both are very accurate and reliable sidearms. A lot of value for the amount of cash layout. My 9mm is relitively new so I haven't put much ammo thru it. But he .45 has thousands of rounds thru it and has yet to malfunction. I am meticulous about maintaining a clean firearm so that might have a lot to do with it.
