I want to buy this gun in a 45-70 but I cant find it anywhere to see how it feels in my hands. Has anyone seen or shot this gun?

I have one and they are great. I shoot it with open sights,(it comes with willams peep sights)just like to have it for close in work 150 yards or so,but it will shoot alot farther then that.I have shot buffalo bore and my reloads out of it with no problems. That 32in barrel kinda akward but its managable.Get one and have fun.

I think you will like it.
Maybe consider a Ruger No.1 .. After I shot my first Ruger No.1 I got rid of my break action rifles

A co-worker has one. It'll easily place shots on target out to 200 yrs. He's using a tang sight. Long but still manageable for hunting use.
I have a #1 in 45-70 and find it no less accurate but just a better hold and of course classier.

Dandy rifle. I have one. You can also send the receiver in and get a 22 inch 45-70 barrel for about 100.00. I did that with mine and use the short barrel for tree stand use for moose and Bear. This year they are coming out with the Buffalo classic in 45 LC as well. I ordered one yesterday.. It may be late March before they show up on the market. You can also get a 500 S&W barrel for it if you want bigger bullets yet.
