Default Remington 710?

Anyone had any experience with this rifle? Is it accurate? Reliable? How does it compare to the Mossberg ATR?

In all honesty you would have topay "me" to buy one! I believe there are MUCH better rifles for the money. I really think the 710sare a piece of junk!

Do yourself a favor and for about the same money, buy a Stevens 200, Remington ADL or a Marlin 336 lever action. Believe me you'll have a MUCH better rifle. In my opinion, Remington should be ashamed to have ever built the 710.[:'(]

Don't do it. You'll get just as much pleasure from sticking your toe in a fan. And that don't cost a nickel.

Remington Arms Company, Inc. is voluntarily recalling a limited number of Model 710 bolt-action rifles as a result of its discovery, during routine test firing, that some Model 710 rifles manufactured between July and October 2002 may have been assembled with an improperly made "Safety Detent Spring."
