Default Affordable Autoloaders...

As much as Id love to own a Beretta Extrema II, or an Benelli SBE II...its just not in the cards for a High School Junior. The gun is going to be my go-to for everything feathered and small things furred, along with the occasional clay pigeon should my primary clay gun fail me. So, I need;

-Dead reliable
-SemiAuto
-12 Ga Mag / 28" Barrel
-Synthetic
-Relatively affordable (Sub $700 If at all possible)

I figured its time to settle down on a go-to here...What do we think?

Thanks-

Ever looked at a Beretta 390 or 391? Very reliable and much cheaper than an Extrema or a Benelli.

Stoeger Model 2000. Great gun. It's a sub line of Benelli. Like Tika is a sub line of Sako. Still great gun. Reliable and sturdy.

My first thought was an 1100 but then i thought about the Franchi line up. They and I believe Stoegar are using benelli's system now but more affordable.

I am currently looking at a used Benelli SBE with camo for $800 in a local gun shop, I am going to offer a little less and see what they can do for me. Do you need to buy new?... if not, you might be able to afford a little higher priced gun you thought was out of budget.

Try out one of the semi auto's from Charles Daly. About as cheap as they come($400 and up for 3 1/2" autoloaders), but I have yet to have a mis-fire or a malfunction of any kind with one(even in -18 degree weather). Have put about 6000 rounds throughone in just over three years, and I am looking forward to the next 6000 rounds.
