What do you think of this caliber? i'm considering getting one myself.

Well the 6.5x284 has proved it's self over the last 10 years or so as being one of the better, if not the best 1000 yd cartridges we have today.I am awaitinga 6.5x284 from Cooper anyday now, it was ordered months ago.

As a hunting round, it's similar to the .270 Winchester. But as a long range target caliber, it is to 1,000 yard what the 6MM PPC is to benchrest.
