i need opinions on a rifle cal. from .240 to .264, there are so many choices i can't decide.i already have 22-250,7mm,30-06,and .300 wby. i want something more comfortable to shoot for deer. i'm leaning toward .257
You might try a 243 win ,25-06 ,6.5X55 , or a6 MM they all work fine on deer . I also have the 257 R but ammo isn't always available when you need it .
25WSSM. I probably wouldn't buy one of those unless you reload. I've been tossing around the idea of buying one lately to fill a void in my gun cabinet (no .257 calibers).
I have a 243 barrel ordered for my Blaser, but it is to be more of a varmint/light deer rifle. If I wanted something to be a serious deer gun, I would go with 25-06. It offers manageable recoil, available ammo, and plenty punch for deer size game.
243 WIN, 25-06, 250 SAVAGE, 257 ROBERTS, OR EVEN A NICE 25-35 IF YOU LIKE LEVER ACTIONS (OR IF YOU CAN FIND IT) ALL OF THESE GUNS WILL BE COMFORTABLE TO SHOOT AND WILL ALL DO 200YDS. OR BETTER ON WHITETAILS.
