Default remington 7600?

Is this a reliable gun? I was hoping to dump the 710 and get this gun.

I have never owned one, but, i haven't heard a bad thing about them and they seem to be pretty accurate.

Yes. For some reason, the 760-series of Remington rifles seems alot better than the semiautos they make which use the same parts, except for the substitution of gas operation in lieu of the pump action parts.....

yeah i hear that the semi-autos jam a lot and that the pumps are more accurate than the semis. that's why i am considering the 7600 and plus the fact that i am a lefty and that i can shoot left handed on this rifle. i also like the way it looks.

yeah and they're pretty cheap too. i believe a synthetic is $430 and wood is $530. i may be wrong. but i believe that is what they are on wal-marts website.

A few years back (well more than a few now that I think about it) my wife bought me a Rem. 7600 oump in .35 whelen for Christmas. Yhat made the gun special enough for me. Then the first fall I huntd with it I shot a Typical B&C book,white-tail buck with it. I have just shot rem. factory ammo from it and it is not a "tack driver" but plenty accurate for hunting big game with.

I am too a lefty and as a result the 760 series was whatI cut my teeth on for a big game rifle. Have owned3and still own the first one I bought 7600/270win. They all have been very dependable guns and the 270 shoots exceptional. All mine were plenty accurate for hunting. 7600 is never a bad choice IMHO.

That said youreally owe it to yourself to try aleft handed bolt! I thinkyou'll be hooked, I knowI am.

Good Luck

You mentioned the 710 and I assumed...sorry.[&:]

I think you'll like the 7600.Other options for something different: Lever or if at all interested in an Auto- Browning BAR's.

Good Luck
