Default shotgun shims question

If you have a shotgun that has switchable shims, and your gun is shooting low and to the right, do you put in the shim that is thick on the bottom and on the left?

Or do you put the shim that is thick on the bottom and on the right?

Default RE: shotgun shims question

I know its thick on the bottom, because your head needs to come up.

Now, I am not 100%, but I think you need to have the shim thicker on the left as well...this will add a bit of off cast which should in-effect move your POI to the left.

I might have that totally backwards....so only do it if it makes sense to you too.
