Default How to remove marks / scars on synthetic stock?

I bought a gun from someone on this website and they said the gun was in like new condition. I received the gun - ha - far from it. I have emailed inquiring on a resolution but have not received a response yet.

Anyways the synthetic rifle stock has marks / scars on one side. Is it possible to"sand" them down or something like that and still make it look new?

Otherwise I will sand it down and pay $100 and get it camoflauged. I am having this done to my 300 wsm, scope base and rings and scope.

Any advise is greatly appreciated. It sucks being on the losing side bytrusting someone you purchase from. He sent me pictures - all but the side there were problems. He seemed honest.

Thanks

Don

I use a scotchbrite pad on mine to smooth out scuffs and minor dings.

That seems like it would work. I never have had a scratch that wouldn't come out with just rubbing it with a cloth.
