Hand gun wanted!!

I am looking to get into hand gun shooting, i have shot with my friends before but I have never owned a handgun. I am not totally sure what caliber i want but i would prefer a revolver with a 4.5 inch barrel or longer. I would prefer to spend less than $300 and am also open for trade....

What do you want it for? The answer to this will steer you as far as caliber, barrel length, etc. If you just want something to plink with, a .22 will serve you well and is cheap to shoot. If you want to plink but also want it for defense, I'd go .38 or larger. If you want to potentially hunt with it, you need to check your state law on caliber and barrel length.
