Default Savage Accutrigger*

I just received a Savage Accutrigger 30-06 for Xmas. I love the adjustable trigger mechanism. It has a nice safty sear feature as well. Does anybody own one of these? What do you think of it? Accurate? Dependable? I am dyin to get it to the range. Here in GA, this weekend is the last weekend of deer season, and I would like to take a deer with my new rifle......A little feedback please...

I have a .270 that I have only shot three times. It took me about six rounds to get about a 1" group in the orange. I love mine so far, but time will tell.

I bought what looks like the same rifle this year in the .270 version and I've put a single box of 20 rounds through it. So far I love it. I got my holes in the orange relatively quick at the range. I haven't taken it in the woods yet, though.

Ive had a 12 fvss in 223 for 2 years and a day and love it, a nice crisp trigger pull that is next to impossable to accidenatly set off. My rifle shoots great as most savages seem to.

I've got the same gun in a 270win you won't be disappointed. The accutrigger is great it takes a little getting used to I think but once you get the feel of it you should enjoy it. I fell in love with the accutrigger on mine. That was a bad thing though now all my rifles are going to the gun smith for a trigger job.

As far as the savage it is a dependable &accurate rifle. The AT is reliable, dependable and safe. Though how it feels boils down to a love it or hate it affair. If your not use to light re-worked factory or aftermarket triggers you'll probably love the AT. However if you are use to such you may not findthe ATto be as glowing!

Good Luck and Enjoy your new rifle
