I did a google search on Brenneke K.O. and that's it.

I've found a couple of those in deer before, so I recognized it pretty quick. Glad to help.

A bit high fora quartering toward shot.

There's a lot of tough bone up front.
I think I'll only take those shots up close with a slug.

Looks like a Brenneke to me (Designed in 1897 by Wilhelm Brenneke in Germany). Imported and sold by Stoeger for many years, and for many years, the ULTIMATE in shotgun slug power & accuracty.
