Friend's H&R 7mm-08 won't group ???

One of my buddy's bought a H&R 7MM-08 the other day !! He's a good rifle shot but he says that it won't group with Winchester 140 grain bullets !!

He wanted to ask you guys and see if ya'll had any suggestions ??

I had told him about how much ya'll helped me with my NEF .223 and getting the right bullets(Win. white box are deadly)!!

Should he be shooting a lighter bullet out of that gun ? Should he just try different manufacturer's bullets ? My .223 came with the light trigger......if he has the regular 5-6 lb trigger will it group good ?

Any help would be appreciated !!

I would try a couple of different brands in there and also be sure he's not flinching. I know I personally tend to jerk instead of squeeze when I'm shooting a gun I'm not accustomed to because I don't know what to expect.

I had an NEF 7mm-08. Mine grouped pretty well with the 140 grain Rmington Corlokts. The NEF's usually prefer lighter bullets but this one was a bit different. Have him check out the NEF forums at www.graybeardoutdoors.com. The guys there will give him lots of tips on getting the Handi rifle to shoot better.
