Default mossberg rifles

Does anyone have experience with the Mossberg 100 ATR rifles? I friend of mine at work is looking at getting one and I told him that I would do some research tonight. I did a search but not find any posts about the rifle. Just looking for some feedback.

Yes, I had one in .270, they shoot well, are lightweight, and are just good guns for the money.

i seem to recall reading that they have a hell of a lot in common with the stevens ( savage?) 200 rifle. in whichcase it will be rugged and reliable.

The Mossberg ATR, uses the same action, as the HOWA 1500 and Weatherby Vanguard, if I remember correctly.
