What action to get?

Short action or Long action? What is the difference between the two?

Short action is designed for calibers with a short casing, like the .308 or .243, while long action is designed for longer cased cartridges, like the 30-06 and .270.

Neither has any major advantages over the other, it just depends on what cartridge you want, the short action might be a little quicker at chambering another round, though.

After looking over the site I have figured that the caliber I want is long action...I didn't even pay attention to that before, Thanks for the help
