Why such a cartridge would be made is a mystery to me,it seems to fall in that small space between the 308 win. and the 30-06 ?? Unless it a close kin to the 308 Marlin..

I must have misread the info, as I thought it was a 180 gr at 3000 fps.

The cartridge was designed for a lever action Marlin. A slightly better 307Winnie. It is also designed to use Leverevolution ammo. It is the buzz of the lever world. Should be a dandy. Tom.

No this is not the 308 Marlin ,It is a 30 TC , and it may be 180 gr. @ 3000 fps

If it is a Short action 30cal cartridge that can deliver 3000 fps ,that will be a good cartridge; I still am a 30 ought six & 30/30 fan..

I was mistaken, it is a 150 gr bullet, but that aint bad ballistics, I wouldn't sell my 308 just get one.

yeah ,maybe the biggest advantage would be necking it up to 358 ,it maybe able to utilize 250 gr. bullets more efficiently..maybe... i don't know... I'll stick with a 30-06 or a 30-30...

Oh yeah, I got one of those about 6 years ago...I think its called a 300WSM...but I'll go check the box.

The .308 Marlin I predict will end up every bit as much defunct commerciallyas the .307 and 7-30. Perhaps even in record time.

The 30 TC, probably even quicker. I love TC guns, everything they develop they take their sweet time on, and when it comes out, its right. Why in the heck they are putting money into this, when they could be developing better ways to manufacture Encore's, is beyond me. I guess if you aren't growing, you are dying, but I suppose we shall see.
