I thought so as well. But after building one and watching a customer try to develop some loads for it, I'm convinced the .25 WSM is a caliber that maybe needs a powder that is not yet available to get it to run properly. It has a lot of variation inshot-to-shot velocity. Accuracy suffers as well. And the .257 Weatherby, with about the same case capacity, is pretty good in this regard. Not sure what the problem is here, but the .25 WSM appears to be too much of a good thing.
