Default Savage Weather Warrior .300 Win Mag Report

I took my Savage Weather Warrior to the range today,
topped with a 3-9x40 Bushnell Banner, I got a half inch 5 shot group at 100 yards, the gun is now soaking with bore foam, I am very proud of it.

I have that rifle its a 116fss .300wm. Mine had alot of kick until I put on a laminated stock from midway. That tamed it down alot.

Yeah, for having "rough" and "crappy" barrels, they shoot good.

I never found my savages to have "crappy" barrels. My stainless 10ML-II needed a few passes of JB to take the sharp edges off the rifling, but fantastic accuracy and durability.

Well, I haven't had problems with mine either, except for the fact that I can see tooling marks at the muzzle when the gun is really cleaned. But hey, they never hurt anything.

Thats too bad about the tooling marks, but I am one that is not so concerned about looks and imperfections as long as it performs up to my expectations.

Iam slowly developing into the kind of thought pattern that prohibits me from worrying about every little detail, once I realize it isn't going to hurt the gun, it'll be good.
