Thinking about purchaseing a new rifle. I want to be able to use it for hunting in thicker brush, and for bigger game. I have a savage model 12 varmit rifle, 26" barrel. But its a bit much for hunting in thicker timber. Its just a 243, kind of small for elk. So I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this gun. Good or bad, would like opinions.
I have basically the same gun but with a synthetic stock instead of wood. They are very accurate and I really don't see how you could go wrong with it.
Savage 30-06 11G, any one use this rifle?
