Winchester 1300

I just bought a winchester 1300 pump. field. I want to use it for deer this year. Does anyone have or know anything about the 1300?

I have a 1300 Win. shotgun with the cantilever rifled barrel and it has worked well. The action is designed to slightly open after shooting to speed in cycling another round. I"™ve been using the Rem. copper solid sabots and have worked well for accuracy, but every firearm is different. I haven"™t had any problems with mine so far except for once when it was extremely cold and had a bit of a problem cycling in another round. Good luck with yours...

I have been using a Winchester 1300 since 1992 for Turkey and deer hunting. That means shooting 3" turkey loads and 2 3/4" deer slugs exclusively. My gun has held up very well, and I prefer it over the Remington 870's.
