Default Bolt Action .22LR with Tube Magazine

I was looking at possibly buying a new .22LR and was wanting to know which manufactures make this type of .22, I think my great uncle has a Marlin 881 that is this type, just wanted to know if there are any others out there, thanks,

For the type you are looking for you can't beat the Marlin.

That"™s a pretty tall order being that most rifles have clips now days. Either you go with the Marlin 981T or just might have to go with a pump, lever action or semi auto. Good luck...

If you're looking at a NEW .22 tube feed, the list is pretty short. Remington, for one, made some decent shootig tube feed rifles in the past, and are fairly common on the used gun racks. You may want to check them out.

Thank you guys for your help, the onlyNEW one i found was the marlin 981, it only comes in synthetic stock though and i would like wood, so let me ask another question, their were a couple more options in the .22 mag, how do bullets compare in price and performance between the two, i know you can get a box of 550 .22LR's for less than $10, i have no idea on the .22mag, thanks again for the advice,

Ammo for the 22 mag is a lot more then those bulk 22. lr for sure.

About $7-8( some a little more even)dollars per 50 i think for the 22 mags & just a guess here about a 50% increase or so in vel/ speed over a reg 22. lr with the same bullets etc

Id get the 22. Lr rifle first myself & or a .223- if i didnt have those already- buti have both.
( just my lill 22. mag revolver is the only one using that ammo& i like rifles- so i may need a new one)
