Yes get it, I bought one in .300 Win Mag back in March and have not been disappointed, the scope is clear and has held up quite nicely, the gun is also accurate, as is all Savages I've owned. Definently worth the money.
If you don't mind rough actions, than get it, but I myself hate savage rifles, or stevens, because they're very hard to get a second shot out of.
I'd imagine that it wouldn't be much of a problem in the woods, but in the shooting-range, it is a pain in the butt.[:@]
I can actually agree with younggun on this one, the actions on Savage rifles are a little stiff, but after you have fired about 20 rounds through the rifle you don't notice it anymore.
