RE: 7mm STW REM.SENDERO,BULLBARREL WITH SHEPHERD SCOPE
I got a Sako, and I shoot 7828 with 160gr accubond. Its my moose/elk gun. I dont' have a gooddeer load for it. But for long bean field shots, I would load up some SST's maybe. Maybe bullistic tips
RE: 7mm STW REM.SENDERO,BULLBARREL WITH SHEPHERD SCOPE
THANKS FOR THE REPLYS ..WHAT KIND OF JOB DOES IT DO ON MOOSE AND ELK.I USE IT ON WHITETAIL AND SOME COYOTES.MAN IT TAKES EM DOWN.WIN 140 BALISTIC TIP IS ABOUT ALL THEY OFFER HERE.AND REM,
RE: 7mm STW REM.SENDERO,BULLBARREL WITH SHEPHERD SCOPE
Don't use the Ballistic Tip on elk and moose. The Nosler Partition, Trophy BondedBear Claw,Barnes X, Nosler Accubond . . . . these are all bullets tough enough for large game at high impact velocities.

RE: 7mm STW REM.SENDERO,BULLBARREL WITH SHEPHERD SCOPE
The 140gr partition and 140gr tsx work very well on moose and elk.I now load only the 140gr ballistic tip for my 7mmstws,because I now only hunt deer, bighorn and pronghorn with them.
RE: 7mm STW REM.SENDERO,BULLBARREL WITH SHEPHERD SCOPE
I have used R-22 and IMR 7828 teamed up with Nosler's Ballistic tip and partition in 140 gr in the stw for nearly 15 years with good results. I have tried alot of different powder/bullet combinations over the years ...both of those work for me.
