Scope Mounting- Russian M-44

I have an old military Russian M-44, i think its the carbine version, this is one of my fav rifles that i own, my question is has anyone had one of these set up in a way that a scope was mountable, the rifle is not drilled or tapped for scope mounts, and i think i have been told that the bolt may be in the way, i just want to know if any one has put a scope on theirs after having theirs start off like mine and/or how much did it cost them for having it worked on, any info would be nice, thanks

I would reccomend a scout mount for that little rifle. I think B-Square makes one but I've heard mixed reviews on them.

You will need a LER or pistol scope to use a scout mount.
