Would you trade a new in the box Winchester Model 70 Classic Sporter LT in a 7 Rem Mag for a new never fired Remington Model 700 CDL in a 30-06 with a $300 Nikon scope. Both have a very nice wood stock and blued barrel. I have never owned a Remington Centerfire rifle. Again, what would you do!
Thanks

Nope. And it has nothing to do with the fact that one's chambered in 7mm mag and the other's a .30-06. Personally, Ilike the .30-06better. I just think themodel 70 is a superiordesign to the model 700. Plus the Winchester might have more collector value in the future since they're not making them any more.
What game are you hunting? What range are your typical shots? How averse are you to recoil? If all you're after is whitetails, at ranges under 300 yards and you don't like excessive recoil, then it sounds to me like a good trade (assuming the Nikon scopes are worth $300... I have no experience with them).

I agree. Personally I like the Winchester guns better.

I would trade a truck load of winchesters for a Remington! Comments about how good winchester guns are, Actions maybe, guns as a whole I don't know about. Take the Remington.
