Default Who has a Remington 700 SPS?

I'm looking at buying one of these in 22-250. Please if you own one or have shot one give me your overall thoughts on accuracy. Is it better to go with a heavy barreled model? I want this gun for coyotes and fox etc so it will likely be alot of walking so I'm attracted to the light weight. I'm a little concerned that it may not be all that accurate of a rifle.

Thoughts? What kind of accuracy did you get?

I have had several and still have one in 223. They have 24 inch barrel. They are excellent shooters and I doubt you can find anything out of the box that will outshoot them. They are my kind of rifle, Plain, simple rugged and accurate. I will soon have another in 7mm-08.

I bought one last year in 22/250 blue barrel, and a 270 ss this year to play with and both are shooters, only adjusted the trigger.Have a savage low profile in 22/250 and at 100 yds to 300 it will do as good as the savage varmit, shooting the same load.

Wow, that is some good information thanks guys. Considering I can get a Remington 700 SPS in 22-250 for $450 I'd say that is probably the best deal I will be able to find.

nice shooting
